Summer is Here, and So is the Fun!
As the sun shines bright, and the temperature rises, we can’t help but think of all the exciting activities that come with the summer season. And what better way to kick off the summer fun than with a history-inspired STEAM program at the Ten Broeck Mansion?
Summer vibes
On Saturday, July 6, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., the Ten Broeck Mansion will be hosting a free event that’s perfect for both kids and adults. You’ll get to learn how to make your own weathervane, and discover how the weather has impacted the City of Albany throughout its history. And to make it even more exciting, two special guest speakers - a member of the National Weather Service and a meteorologist from News10 ABC - will be joining in on the fun!
‘I still remember the summer I spent at my grandparents’ house, watching the weather forecast on TV and trying to make sense of all the complicated terms. It wasn’t until I attended a similar event to this one that I truly understood the importance of weather in our daily lives.’ - Me
