At the recent Windthorst ISD school board meeting on Monday, March 18, Technology Director Joe Camacho took center stage to unveil the district’s digital landscape. Camacho, the steward of a robust network, expressed satisfaction with the district’s technological infrastructure.

Technology in Education

Camacho’s presentation shed light on the district’s commitment to staying at the forefront of technology in education. His detailed insights captivated the audience, showcasing the strides Windthorst ISD is making to enhance the learning experience through digital means.

The Windthorst ISD board also made significant financial decisions during the meeting. They approved additional funds to bolster the committed fund balance, earmarking substantial amounts for various crucial areas.

Financial Decisions

The approved funds include $2,540,000 for facility improvements, $220,000 for equipment upgrades, $150,000 for a new bus, $100,000 for school safety initiatives, and $30,000 for fine arts equipment.

Youth Movement in Windthorst Trojanette Softball Team

In a separate development, the Windthorst Trojanette softball team is undergoing a transformation for the 23-24 season. With only five returning players from the previous year, the team is experiencing a significant youth movement. Notably, four of the returning players are sophomores, with just one senior, Bri Hoff, leading the team.

Youthful Energy

Hoff, the sole senior amidst a predominantly sophomore and freshman team, brings experience and leadership to guide the younger players through the season.
