In a significant move, KT Corp, a leading South Korean telecom company, has partnered with Microsoft to develop the local artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing industries. This strategic alliance is expected to set a milestone in South Korea’s digital innovation, swiftly responding to changes in the market.

Through this partnership, the two companies will jointly conduct AI and cloud research projects, aiming to propel the growth of the Lumada business, with a planned revenue of $18.9 billion in FY2024. This collaboration will also promote operational efficiency and productivity improvements for Hitachi Group’s 270,000 employees.

In another development, Interface Systems has launched an enhanced intelligent voice-down system, which seamlessly integrates with its Interactive Security Operations Center (iSOC). This updated solution allows for immediate intervention by remote specialists to augment AI-powered automated deterrents.

The system can proactively detect individuals and vehicles loitering or behaving suspiciously by leveraging state-of-the-art AI-enabled cameras. Gizmodo Sold to European Publisher Keleops
In a significant development, Gizmodo, a longtime technology news and review site, has been sold to Keleops, a European publisher. This marks the third time Gizmodo has changed hands in the past eight years.
